Custom File SuppressionCustom File Suppression is the process of de-duplicating files against other files. You might have a main contact database file and a do not mail file that contains names and addresses of individuals or companies that have opted not to be included in your direct marketing campaign.

As you can see from the example above, Joe Bloggs is removed from the mailling database as he has opted out of receiving any direct marketing mails.
